Error description
ISSUE PPR requires AJAX servlet on Portal 6.0 A bug in Portal prevents WPF from using the single-portlet refresh API to get the HTML for just a portlet, so we use a servlet to do Ajax/partial-page refresh requests. You can only use JSR-168 (or Native API) calls to build "real Portal URLs" from a portlet request (not a servlet one) so URLs inside a region loaded using partial-page refresh are also servlet-based ones. SYMPTOMS Portal specific URLs don't work. When URLs are used, they casue the portlet to take over the portal page. ENVIRONMENT WPF 6.1 RECREATION Create a model that uses PPR to refresh a page region. Add a button inside the region that does not use PPR, but uses the default post-action behavior. Add a portlet adapter. Add the portlet to a portal page. Click the button. The portlet takes over the portal page. The same problem occurs if a refresh region contains links used for wiring.
