APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Using API Designer v10.0.5.1713. You can add two of your three
cloud environments to the designer without issues. However, when
you attempt to add cloud environment, you encounter an error
stating "Invalid HOST URL." The specific error message displayed
is:  Invalid URL. Please enter valid API Manager HOST URL.

Impact: Minor.

Local fix

  • Possible Workaround: You confirm that the URL you are using is
valid. To work around this issue, avoid using the words 'stage'
or 'publish' in your host URLs if possible.

Problem summary

  • API Designer is unable to connect to a host url if that url
contains the words 'stage' or 'publish'

Problem conclusion

  • Fixed in v10.0.8.1 and v10.0.5.8
