LI83010: APIC VALIDATE COMMAND FAILS DUE TO ERROR: PATH PARAMETER "*****"MUST HAVE 'REQUIRED: TRUE'

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When validating the API yaml with the apic validate command to
  validate the API, the following error was output.
  
  # apic validate upgrade_test.yaml
  Error: Path parameter "*****" must have 'required:
  true' at "/paths/upgrade/parameters.0"
  
  This API has the "*****" parameter mentioned in the
  error message, but it is a header parameter, not a Path
  parameter. The "Path Parameter" is required: true, but the
  "Header Parameter" is not required: true.
  
  
  On the other hand, when validating this API from the GUI, there
  were no errors and the validation was OK.
  

Local fix

Problem summary

• Using the APIC toolkit, running "apic validate" on API
  containing header parameter fails with the following error -
  'Error: Path parameter "<parameter-name>" must have 'required:
  true'
  

Problem conclusion

• The issue is fixed in APIC 10.0.5.4.
