APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Target-url not populated properly when using the option "From
existing OpenAPI service - (Create a REST proxy based upon an
OpenAPI described target service" in OpenAPI 3.0.0 version) to
create the API. When we import an OpenAPI 3 yaml, the target-url
is expected to be populated by the value in the yaml
service-url. But IBM APIC populates with a default value
(example.com), so the call to backend is never reaches the right
endpoint.

Problem summary

  • When creating an API as a REST proxy based upon an OpenAPI
described target service, the target-url property in the draft
is incorrect, if the OpenAPI is an OAI3 API.

Problem conclusion

  • Issue has been fixed in API Connect versions 10.0.5.2 and
10.0.1.10.
