APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • The backup configuration for an analytics cluster was setup
using the s3
IBM object store and when a backup was triggered, the
backup task remains in a Running state.

Local fix

  • delete the Running backup and then trigger the backup cronjob

Problem summary

  • Backup failures are not correctly reflected in the backup status
causing backups to stay in 'Running' state indefinitely. This
might prevent triggering of subsequent backups.

Problem conclusion

  • All affected users should upgrade to API Connect v10.0.1.11 or
v10.0.5.2.

A backup that encounters an error will now update to a 'Failed'
state and contain additional status to help the user diagnose
the failure.

This fix is targeted at API Connect 10.0.1.11 and 10.0.5.2.
