APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • If the API does not specify the exact version in source, the
policy validation field is defaulted.

Local fix

  • Retire the product which does not have policy version specified
to resolve sync issue.

Problem summary

  • User defined policy references without specific versions could
pass validation on the manager side by defaulting the version to
1.0.0 and then matching the major version to a corresponding
version on the gateway, but the gateway does not do the same so
the api could then cause issues on the gateway.

Problem conclusion

  • The validation before sending to the gateway has been updated to
mandate a specific version be specified when creating the API.
This change will be in 10.0.5.1 and 10.0.1.9
