LI82546: API SUBSCRIPTION ISSUE DUE TO NAME MISMATCH- CHARACTER LIMITATION

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• After upgrading the  cloud to v10.0.4.0-ifix1, user's are facing
  issue to subscribe to api due to the name mismatch between
  object name and slugified name
  
  They are getting this error "the name must be url safe".
  

Local fix

• The workaround applied is setting the env variable
  VELOX_EXTENDED_SLUGS=false
  

Problem summary

• <span style="background-color:rgb(255, 255, 255)">U</span><span
  style="background-color:rgb(255, 255, 255)">ser cannot create
  the subscription if there is approval required, as the title of
  subscription task created in code was translated to name which
  was too long for the database.</span>
  The problem may also happen if for some other API Connect
  resource a very long title was provided.
  

Problem conclusion

• <span style="background-color:rgb(255, 255, 255)">This has been
  fixed with improved algorithm to handle long strings properly
  for the resource name.</span>
  
  Fix targeted for 10.0.5.0 and 10.0.1.7.
