LI82488: GATEWAYSCRIPT V1.0.0 POLICY ON API GATEWAY MAY SET THE CONTENT TYPE TO UNKNOWN

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When message.body is updated with an apim.setvariable and
  followed with an apim.setvariable of
  message.headers.content-type instead of an
  apim.output(content-type), the returned content-type header for
  this v5 emulated policy will be "unknown".
  

Local fix

• Add apim.output('application/json'); after the
  apim.setvariable('message.body')
  

Problem summary

• When the gatewayscript_1.0.0 policy sets the message
  content-type header directly after setting the message.body,
  this would be accepted in API Connect v5, but for v10 using the
  emulated v5 framework, the content-type header was not being
  marshaled to the v10 API context in this case, which resulted in
  a content type being returned of "unknown".
  

Problem conclusion

• <span style="background-color:rgb(255, 255, 255)">A fix will be
  provided in the API Connect releases 10.5.0.0 and
  10.0.1.7.</span>
