Error description

  • The analytics feature "create new dashboards" is not shown
whenever you add a user on the space level, however its present
if the same user is added on Organization/catalog level.
    Steps to reproduce the problem:
1- Create a new catalog and enable the spaces (make sure to
configure the Gateway Service and analytics service is enabled
    for the catalog/spaces)
2- Add/Invite a member to the default catalog space (or one you
created) and assign the user an existing role such as Developer
3- Accept the invitation, perform the signup for the user and
    login with that user
    4- Navigate to the space.
5- Go to the analytics tab
    Expected
The '+' button to create new dashboard is visible in the
    Dashboard tab
The same is for the Visualization tab.
    Actual Result:
The '+' button to create new dashboard is not visible in the
    Dashboard tab
The same is seen from the Visualization.

Local fix

  • Workaround:
Add the user as a member at the catalog level.

Problem summary

  • Users with analytics manage permission at the space level won't
see the add analytics dashboard (+) button in the analytics tab.
