Error description

  • After upgrading RHEL to level 8.3 (kernel 4.18.0-240.1.1.el8_3),
    buildLiS fails with errors:

Local fix

Problem summary

  • A change to the limits.h file in the kernel-devel package causes
    duplicate definitions in the gcc build paths.
    

Problem conclusion

  • The LiS patch file has been updated to correct this.
    Contact IBM Support to obtain the updated LiS patch if needed.
