APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • In some environments MySQL is not limiting the number of bin log
files to 10 in the "/var/log/mysqllog" volume resulting in the
PVC getting full.

Local fix

  • 1- from the bash shell, run the command stop_db -c on each db
container (or at least the container where you see the problem)
2 - do a rm -f /var/log/mysqllog/mysql/*
3-  wait a few mins as the DBs should restart itself on the
container (if it does not, then use the start_db command)
