Error description

• Wrong program output if routine is inlined in source compiled
  using Altivec and IPA.
  

Local fix

• If possible avoid explicit cast of vector types to other vector
  types.  Or lower optimization level to avoid using IPA.
  

Problem summary

• USERS AFFECTED:
  Users using altivec in their source and invoking IPA may be
  affected by this issue.
  
  PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
  IPA is changing the type of a symbol to avoid a conversion, but
  this is causing incorrect behavior when the temporary is being
  used else where.
  

Problem conclusion

• IPA has been changed so that it will not change the type of the
  symbol, but leave the conversion in the code.
