  POWER5/POWER6 equivalents on POWER7 hardware in applications
  where input and output data is commonly not aligned to 16-byte
  boundaries.

  Poor performance of single-precision MASS routines in
  libmassvp7 compared to libmassvp5,vp6 on misaligned data.
  
  USERS AFFECTED:
  Users of single-precision MASS with -lmassvp7 or -qhot=vector
  -qtune=pwr7 .
  

Problem conclusion

• Tuned POWER7 implementations to improve performance for
  misaligned data.
