Error description
The CREATE TABLE statement could lead a DB2 instance to crash when running DB2 V9.1: 1. table is partitioned. 2. table has a varchar column with FOR SBCS DATA 3. the partitioning column is on the same column as 2. For non-SBCS fields, CREATE TABLE works correctly.
Local fix
An instance crash can be avoided by eliminating using of "FOR SBCS DATA" clause with character data types.
