APAR status
Closed as program error.
Error description
If the Load utility generates lots of warnings (for example if the data being parsed is full of errors, truncations, or rejected records), the utility may perform very poorly. This is because the Load utility opens its internal server-side message file using the O_SYNC flag which means writes to this internal server-side message file will block until all message data and file meta-data is written to disk. Since this data is not critical to the operation of the utility or management of the database, we will avoid opening the server-side message file using this O_SYNC flag.
Local fix
You can specify the Load NOROWWARNINGS modifier to force the Load utility to avoid writing warning messages all together.
