Error description

  • The total CPU usage as reported by db2pd and the
ENV_GET_SYS_RESOURCES procedure is not of the correct scale on
Linux, Sun and HP platforms. The CPU usage on these platforms
is on a scale of 0 to 1 instead of 0 to 100. The Idle time is
also wrongly reported as Wait instead of the correct Idle.
    Before fix :
    CPU Usage Information:
    Total Usr Sys Wait Idle
    0.022500 n/a n/a 0.977500 n/a
    After fix :
    CPU Usage Information:
    Total Usr Sys Wait Idle
    2.250000 n/a n/a n/a 97.750000

Local fix

  • The temporary fix is to multiplythe value reported by db2pd by 1
00 and consider the value of "Wait" as "Idle" in this case.
