Error description
Problem in db2tapemgr not recognising all Linux tape device drivers. /dev/rtibm0 driver recieves error with not valid tape device. db2tapemgr db lnxges store on /dev/rtibm0 force eject, receives: Parameter error. Reason: "DBT2112N Device "/dev/rtibm0" is not a tape device.". The physical tape device is attached to /dev/rtibm0 and dn2tapemgr functionality is required for this device.
Local fix
Create a symbolic link on the device driver ln -s /dev/ntibm0 /dev/nst0
Problem summary
DB2TAPEMGR NOT RECOGNISING THE DEVICE DRIVER /DEV/RTIBM0 FOR LINUX.
Problem conclusion
Problem was first fixed in Version 9.1 Fixpak 5
