Error description
When you run the steps below, you may terminate more instances than what is displayed. 1. In Process Admin Console Process Inspector, filter the instances by process application and snapshot. This would list the corresponding instances. 2. In this example, the process application has two snapshots, each snapshot has three active instances. 3. You select one snapshot, it displays three active instances. 4. You uncheck the filter and click the "Select all instances" button, three active instances are selected. 5. You try to terminate the three active instances, the popup message shows three instances to terminate. 6. You confirm. All of the six instances of the two snapshots are terminated. In Process Inspector, clicking the 'Refresh' button one the left panel to ensure the listed instances in the middle panel are the latest when you run any operation by clicking the "Select all instances" button.

A fix is available or will be available that provides the following changes. 1. Refresh the instance search result panel when changing any of the filter selections. 2. Refresh the instance search result panel when performing single instance or multi instance actions. 3. Disable "Select all instance" button in Process Server server by default. You may enable it by setting <enable-bulk-actions> (default value is false) property value to 'true'. 4. Introduce a new configuration property <bulk-action-instance-limit> (default value is 1000) to limit the maximum number of instances allowed to perform the bulk actions. 5. When running action "Select all instances", the maximum number of instances can be terminated is set by <bulk-action-instance-limit> value. 6. When neither "Process Application" nor "Snapshot" is selected, clicking "select all instances" button to perform actions is not allowed. 7. When you click "Select all instances" button, the first dialog displays the filters being selected. User needs to confirm the number of instances to be impacted based on the current filter selections. The second dialog informs user if the current count and previous count are consistent, informs user that the number of instances will perform the action. The amount is the less number of selected instances and the value of <bulk-action-instance-limit>. 8. When you click "select shown instances" button to perform Terminate or Delete action, the numbers of instances are listed for each process application.
