Error description
When a variable is added to a nested service or process and the associated data mapping is also updated within the same save, the data mapping change is not saved. If the parent artifact is a service or process, the data mapping can still be displayed in the web IBM Process Designer even though it does not exist. You might see the following validation error in the web Process Designer: "No input parameter mapping found for parameter without default: myNewInput"
Local fix
To correct a broken data mapping, follow these steps: 1. Delete the value in the current data mapping that is not working properly. 2. Save the changes. 3. Add the desired value back to the data mapping. 4. Save the changes. To avoid the issue, consider this development practice: When you add an input or output to an artifact, save your changes before you make any further edits like updating data mappings.
