APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When an IDR for Oracle instance is used for both source and
    target, and when a refresh using fastload is started on this
    IDR instance while the subscription using this IDR instance as
    the source is already running in Mirror Continuous, a core dump
    will take place

Local fix

  • 1. set 'refresh_allow_fast_loader=false' at the target datastore
    level in MC and restart the instance.

    OR

    2. Do not run any Mirror Continuous for this instance as a
    source when refresh is taking place

    * This issue might affect you if you are using IDR *
    * 11.4.0.3-5587 or older for Oracle, the datastore is used *
    * both as a source and as a target, and Fastload is *

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:                                         *
    * The replication engine would periodically crash when a field *
    * used for both target refresh and source mirroring would be *
    * set incorrectly.                                             *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    * Upgrade to IDR 11.4.0.3-5590 or newer for Oracle. *
    ****************************************************************

Problem conclusion

  • Upgrading to IDR 11.4.0.3-5590 or newer for Oracle resolves the
    issue.
