Error description

  • dmts64 CPU usage goes to near 100% when last subscription using
Shared Scrape (SS) stops and before the SS log parser and SS
log reader stop. Shared scrape keeps its log parser/reader
running for a period of time after the last sub stops so if a
subscription using SS immediately starts again we won't have to
restart the log parser and reader. The length of time that SS
waits to stop the log parser/reader is controlled by the system
    property sharedscrape_log_reader_parser_stopping_delay_seconds.
By default, this is 600 seconds (10 minutes).

Local fix

  • Set sharedscrape_log_reader_parser_stopping_delay_seconds to 0.
If this is 0, SS stops its log reader and parser as soon as the
    last subscription using SS stops.
