APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When invoked in a component's "On change" event, specifically
for Text, Integer, Decimal, Date Time Picker, Masked Text, and
Text Area coach views, the me.setValid(false, "Displayed error")
 prevents the red border and tooltip that indicates the coach
view's invalid state from displaying. Checking the coach view's
validity by using the .isValid API doesn't show an error.

  • Call setValid from another detached component or from a
navigation event that leaves the coach block and sets the error
from a script.
