  • When Informix stage connected to UTF-8 database executes
user-defined SQL query
containing multibyte character(s), it
might get wrong result due to incorrect encoding of SQL query
passed to Informix database.

  • When Informix stage connected to UTF-8 database executes
user-defined SQL query containing multibyte character(s), it
might get wrong result due to incorrect encoding of SQL query
passed to Informix database. Requirement of encoding multibyte
characters may differ, depending on the settings of ODBC
connection in .odbc.ini file.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • Environment variable DS_INFX_CONVERT_SQL is introduced, allowing
 job designer to enable encoding multibyte characters when
needed. Set the variable to "YES" or "1" to enable encoding, or
set to "NO", "0" or not set at all to disable it.
