Problem summary

* This issue may affect you if you use CDC Kafka as a target.  *
****************************************************************
* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:                                         *
* When you enable global tracing by setting system parameter   *
* global_trace_hours, replication ends on error. The traces    *
* show a null pointer exception.                               *
****************************************************************
* RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
* Upgrade to IDR 11.4.0.2-5506 or newer for Kafka.             *
****************************************************************

Problem conclusion

  • Upgrading to IDR 11.4.0.2-5506 or newer for Kafka resolves the
issue.
