APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When the Data Load utility is run from the command line, the
utility fails with the following exception:

Dataload - java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError:
com.ibm.ws.bootstrap.RASWsLoggerFactory

Local fix

  • The Data Load utility can be run as a scheduler job instead of
from the command line.

WebSphere Commerce version 9.

PROBLEM ABSTRACT:
Allow Data Load command line utility to run in j2se mode

BUSINESS IMPACT:
The Data Load utility cannot be used from the command line.


RECOMMENDATION:

Problem conclusion

  • The Data Load command line utility was changed to check whether
the utility is being run in j2se mode. If the utility is run in
js2se mode, the utility now avoids checking whether the store
registry needs to be refreshed as the registry cannot be
refreshed in j2se mode.
