Error description

  • When using dscc with command line containing credentials and no
    SSL certificate exists
    
    c:\IBM\InformationServer\Clients\Classic>dscc.exe /url
    https://nemesis:9445 /h nemesis /u isadmin /p passw0rd dstage1
    /j aa
    
    Initializing
    
    Logon Failed - nemesis\dstage1
    The SSL certificate must have previously been accepted in order
    to connect to server https://nemesis:9445.
    
    Which is ok, however if an authentication file is used
    
    c:\IBM\InformationServer\Clients\Classic>dscc.exe  /af af.txt
    dstage1 /j aa
    
    Initializing
    
    Failed to attach to the project.
    
    af.txt contained cred as per
    

Local fix

Problem summary

  • DSCC is not reporting the error description when authorisation
    file is used
    

Problem conclusion

  • Fixed DSCC to report the error description when authorisation
    file is used.
