JR58535: BW extracted data is corrupted when the Endianess of Datastage platform is opposite of SAP platform (reg. 4323)

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Customer has 7 regions like US , China, Japan ,Mexico ..etc
  For Mexico region a previous patch had handled the issue but for
  other regions they are still seeing the bad format of data.
  Customer said when they run using IS 912 against same data the
  extract  looks fine , but in IS 11502 they are getting these
  special chars.

Problem summary

• BW data is corrupted when the Endianess of Datastage platform is
   different of SAP platform (reg. 4323)
  Supported DS Big Endian platforms: zLinux, AIX, Solaris;
  supported DS Little Endian platforms: Windows on Intel, Linux on
  Intel
  

Problem conclusion

• Code fix: Corrected the Unicode program logic (DS maps) for
  opposite Endianess platforms.
  Fix available as patch for versions 433, 4331
