APAR status

Error description

  • You see many GETINSTALLMESSAGE_EXCEPTION messages, such as
    
    ObjectManagem E   GETINSTALLMESSAGE_EXCEPTION
    
    in the IBM Process Center SystemOut.log file.
    
    The Process Center console also shows the "Unable to retrieve
    install message" error message under "Installation details".
    
    The messages do not negatively affect the system; however, they
    fill the SystemOut.log file unnecessarily.
    

Local fix

Problem summary

  • Installation messages are sorted by time. When messages are
    produced within the same millisecond, they might get returned in
     the wrong order. When a child messages is returned before a
    parent message, you receive errors like the error mentioned in
    the Error Description.

Problem conclusion

  • A fix will be included in IBM BPM V8.5.7 cumulative fix 2017.06
    that removes the code that relies on the message's order by
    timestamp.
