Error description

  • While task Due In may show custom JavaScript, you might notice
that the default Due In of 1 hour is used in some tasks at run
    time.

This issue occurs when dueDateType is set to 0 in the underlying
model. A value of 0 means dueDateTime is used at run time.

Time based Due In is indicated by dueDateTime value of 1 in the
model. The value 0 should no longer be used in models. Some
activities, such as human tasks, initialize dueDateType to 1
when authored, but some activities, such as external activities,
initialize to 0. An activity worker correctly interprets 0 as 1
(time based) at run time. However, the implementation property
sheet does not treat a value of 0 the same at run time.

Local fix

  • This is a display issue. Clicking another step on the diagram,
for example, a gateway step, or clicking the diagram itself
(inside a lane) and then clicking the human service step again
and viewing Properties > Implementation > Priority settings
shows the correct Due In value.

Problem summary

  • No additional information is available.

Problem conclusion

  • A fix will be included in IBM BPM V8.5.7 cumulative fix 2017.06
that corrects the implementation property sheet UI of external
tasks to display the Due In value in the same mode as the mode
that is used at run time.
