APAR status

Error description

  • Single quote (apostrophe) is getting double-escaped to
"&apos" in the XML generated for OMD.

Local fix

  • N/A

Problem summary

  • Reserved characters in DataStage job parameters are wrongly
escaped when delivered to IGC runtime lineage. Escape code is
run twice, for example ">" becomes ">"on IGC gui.

Problem conclusion

USERS AFFECTED:
Datastage and IGC users whose job parameters containing
characters &"><' (ampersand, double quote, greater than, less
than, single quote).

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
Certain characters in DataStage job parameters are wrongly
escaped when delivered to IGC runtime lineage. This can cause
the runtime information to be rejected from IGC, which means it
does not appear at all, or can cause the parameters to be
reported incorrectly on the IGC GUI.

RECOMMENDATION:
Apply the fix for JR57633 to the DataStage engine tier
computers.
