If a process is configured with a default launch UI, many snapshots exists, and the process is chosen from the launch list or the launch UI task is chosen from the work list, you might experience a delay before the coach is displayed. Problem summary
The rest/bpm/wle/v1/coachflow/instancedata REST API call takes a long time to complete. If you enable server tracing with following trace string, "WLE.wle_bpmrest=all", the trace log shows that an unexpected and significant amount of time elapsed between the ENTRY and RETURN trace log entries for the getProcessActivityDescription method: [2/8/17 4:52:05:229 CST] 0000020f InstanceDataR > com.ibm.bpm.rest.impl.coachflow.InstanceDataResource getInstanceData ENTRY [2/8/17 4:52:06:551 CST] 0000020f InstanceDataR > com.ibm.bpm.rest.impl.coachflow.InstanceDataResource getProcessActivityDescription ENTRY taskId(false) = Task.258574, tip(false) = false, snapshotId(false) = Snapshot.effc3b41-dc42-4c5c-9711-57bf51bb5d67, ... Problem conclusion
A fix will be included in IBM BPM V8.5.7 cumulative fix 2017.03 that reduces the time required to complete a request to the rest/bpm/wle/v1/coachflow/instancedata REST API.
