Error description

  • When the IBM Process Portal search index is being reindexed, IBM
    Business Process Manager (BPM) retrieves the list of process
    instances and tasks to index. If the number of tasks associated
    to a process instance is a multiple of 1000, the request against
     the database will, at some point, return an empty result set,
    which IBM BPM understands as all process instances and tasks
    have been indexed. Therefore, the reindexing procedure stops and
     the Process Portal search index is incomplete.

Problem summary

  • Having a multiple of 1000 tasks assigned to a process instance
    is not properly handled.
    

Problem conclusion

  • A fix is available for IBM BPM V8.5.7.0 cumulative fix CF2017.03
     that ensures the Process Portal search index is complete when a
     process instance has a multiple of 1000 tasks assigned to it.
