Error description
When you open, edit, and subsequently save a client-side human service (CSHS) that contains an empty client-side script activity, users might see error messages in the web IBM Process Designer. When you save the CSHS, users might see "There is an error in the artifact. Close the artifact, then open it again" When you open the CSHS, users might see "A problem was found with the most recent version so the last valid version of the artifact will be opened." PRODUCTS AFFECTED: IBM Business Process Manager (BPM) Advanced IBM BPM Standard IBM BPM Express
Local fix
Don't save an empty client-side script activity. A new client-side script activity should always include a comment. 2. When the script is already empty, the simplest workaround is to delete the node and add a new one.
Problem summary
This issue occurs because the client-side script activity was originally saved as empty.
Problem conclusion
A fix will be included in IBM BPM V8.5.7 cumulative fix 2017.03 that enables you to add new text to a client-side script activity after having previously saved it as empty without displaying errors in the web Process Designer.
