Error description
When the Lucene indexer runs against an IBM DB2 database, the Lucene indexer issues an UPDATE request at regular time intervals to update the content of the BPM_TASK_INDEX table with information related to tasks that were previously deleted from the database. While updating this table, the Lucene indexer locks numerous rows (every row that has its DELETED_DATETIME column set to null). As a result, DB2 might have to perform a lock escalation to lock the entire table, which causes the Lucene indexer to throw timeout exceptions when it tries to insert new entries or update existing entries in the BPM_TASK_INDEX table and the index becomes out of sync. A fix will be available in IBM BPM V8.5.7 cumulative fix 2017.03 that reduces the number of row locks that the Lucene indexer uses to update entries in the BPM_TASK_INDEX table for tasks. To determine whether the cumulative fix is available, complete the following steps on Fix Central (http://www.ibm.com/support/fixcentral): 1. On the Select product tab, select WebSphere as the product group, IBM Business Process Manager with your edition from the WebSphere options, All as the installed version, and All as the platform, and then click Continue. 2. In the Text field, enter "cumulative fix", and click Continue. If cumulative fix 2017.03 is available, download and install it. When you download fix packages, ensure that you also download the readme file for each fix. Review each readme file for additional installation instructions and information about the fix.
