JR56866: Generic users cannot add to cart when session timeout is enabled

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• If your environment is configured for multiple stores and
  sitelevel=true is configured in the wc-server.xml file, shoppers
   might encounter errors. If a shopper is browsing Store A as a
  generic user, and then adds an item to a cart in Store cookies
  become inconsistent because the WC_GENERIC_ACTIVITYDATA cookie
  is updated with guest user, but the WC_USERACTIVITY cookie is
  still of generic user.

  BUSINESS IMPACT:
  Generic users might not be able to add to shopping cart if the
  add to shopping cart request is against another store.
  
  RECOMMENDATION:
  

Problem conclusion

• Updated logic to ensure that generic cookies are deleted and
  guest cookies are created on the browser side.
