Error description

• When the network.host parameter and
  discovery.zen.ping.unicast.hosts attribute in the IBM Process
  Federation Server server.xml file are configured by using a
  host name other than the IP address, the validation tool might
  report an error similar to the following errors:
   An unknown node joined the cluster.
   Node name:node2 Host name:bpm09.acme.com Port:9,300
   An unknown node joined the cluster.
   Node name:node2 Host name:bpm11.acme.com Port:9,300
  
  The following Elasticsearch node configured in the
  discovery.zen.ping.unicast.hosts attribute has not joined
  the cluster: Host name:bpm09.acme.com Port:9300
  
  If the node is running, check the system logs for connection
  issues. Check the SSL setting, the cluster name, and the
  passphrase definitions for this Elasticsearch node.
  

Local fix

• Configure the network.host parameter and
  discovery.zen.ping.unicast.hosts attribute
  in the IBM Process Federation Server server.xml
  by using an IP address rather than host name.
  

Problem summary

• The Elasticsearch client API might return the full host name or
  the short host name depending on the operating system. However,
  the Process Federation Server validation tool always assumes the
  short host name is returned, so an unknown node joined the
  cluster error is reported when the full host name is returned.
