Error description

  • When running upgradeSchemaAll_de_name.sh script, that script
calls createSchema.sh. createSchema.sh fails with the
    following error:

SQL0104N An unexpected token "," was found following
    "<identifier>".
Expected tokens may include: "NEW". SQLSTATE=42601

This is related to the password containing special characters.

Local fix

  • If you alter createSchema.sh and replacethe following line of
    code "db2 connect to $DB_NAME user $DB_USER using $DB_PASSWORD"
with "db2 connect to $DB_NAME ", you are prompted for password,
    then script executes.
