Local fix

Problem summary

  • An entry is expected in the database table
    LSW_STORED_SYMBOL_TABLE, which might temporarily not be present
    and might cause the result set to be already closed when the
    transaction tries to access it.
    

Problem conclusion

  • A fix that ensures a missing entry in the database table
    LSW_STORED_SYMBOL_TABLE is accepted under certain circumstances
    and is interpreted as an empty symbol table for the
    corresponding task is available for IBM BPM V8.0.1.3 and will be
    available in IBM BPM V8.5.7 cumulative fix 2016.12.
    
    For IBM BPM V8.0.1.3, search for JR56556 on Fix Central
    (http://www.ibm.com/support/fixcentral):
    
    1. Select IBM Business Process Manager with your edition
      from the product selector, the installed version to the fix
      pack level, and your platform, and then click Continue.
    
    2. Select APAR or SPR, enter JR56556, and click Continue.
    
    For IBM BPM V8.5.7, determine whether the cumulative fix is
    available by completing the following steps on Fix Central:
    
    1. On the Select product tab, select WebSphere as the product
      group, IBM Business Process Manager with your edition from the
      WebSphere options, All as the installed version, and All as
      the platform, and then click Continue.
    2. In the Text field, enter "cumulative fix", and click
      Continue.
    
    If cumulative fix 2016.12 is available, download and install it.
    When you download fix packages, ensure that you also download
    the readme file for each fix. Review each readme file for
    additional installation instructions and information about the
    fix.
