Error description

  • In IBM Process Portal, you start a service from the Launch list.
    The service window opens and the service loads. You complete
    the service, but the window remains open and displays "Service
    completed", which confuses you because you expected the window
    to automatically close and you expect to return to your original
    page.
    
    Furthermore, when you launch a startable service from the launch
    list a second time, the previous page, which displays "Service
    completed", is shown. You are confused because you expect a new
    instance of the service to open.

  • When the service completes, select Close from the menu option at
    the top of the page.

Problem conclusion

  • A fix that ensures you are returned to the original page after a
    startable service completes and that a new instance of the
    service starts the second time will be included in the IBM BPM
    V8.5.7 2016.09 cumulative fix.
    
    To determine whether the cumulative fix is available and
    download it if it is, complete the following steps on Fix
    Central:
    
    1. On the Select product tab, select WebSphere as the product
    group, IBM Business Process Manager with your edition from the
    WebSphere options, All as the installed version, and All as the
    platform, and then click Continue.
    2. In the Text field, enter "cumulative fix?, and click
    Continue.
