Error description

  • In some situations, you see the following NullPointerException
    in the WebModuleContextSwitchHandler when you process an SCA
    message:

Problem summary

  • This issue occurs because the part or name of the SCA export is
    set as null although the source port of the SCA export is not
    null.

Problem conclusion

  • A fix is available for IBM BPM V8.5.6.0 cumulative fix 2 (CF2)
    that adds extra logic to handle null port, null parts, or null
    port names when determining whether a context switch is needed.
    
    
    On Fix Central (http://www.ibm.com/support/fixcentral), search
    for JR56386:
    
     1. Select IBM Business Process Manager with your edition from
    the product selector, the installed version to the fix pack
    level, and your platform, and then click Continue.
     2. elect APAR or SPR, enter JR56386, and click Continue.
    
    When you download fix packages, ensure that you also download
    the readme file for each fix. Review each readme file for
    additional installation instructions and information about the
    fix.
