    /rest/bpm/wle/v1/processAppSettings?snapshotId={snapshotId}&bran
    chId={branchId}&processAppId={processAppId}&recurse=false REST
    API.

Local fix

  • Invoke the REST API as a user who is a member of the tw_admin
    group.
    

Problem summary

  • On an IBM Process Center environment, the process application's
    access control list (ACL) authorization applies to the
    /rest/bpm/wle/v1/processAppSettings REST API. By default, only
    members of the tw_admin group may access this REST API on a
    runtime IBM Process Server environment.
    

Problem conclusion

  • A fix is available for IBM BPM V8.5.6 that introduces a
    configurable property
    (<enforce-authorization-check-for-ps-model-data>) that allows
    non tw_admin users to access the
    /rest/bpm/wle/v1/processAppSettings?snapshotId={snapshotId}&bran
    chId={branchId}&processAppId={processAppId}&recurse=false REST
    API.
    
    On Fix Central (http://www.ibm.com/support/fixcentral), search
    for JR56092:
    
    1.     Select IBM Business Process Manager with your edition
    from the product selector, the installed version to the fix pack
    level, and your platform, and then click Continue.
    2.     Select APAR or SPR, enter JR56092, and click Continue.
    
    When you download fix packages, ensure that you also download
    the readme file for each fix. Review each readme file for
    additional installation instructions and information about the
    fix.
