APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• The compatibilityIgnoreExposedToForHumanService flag for
  disabling the authorization check for human services by using
  the service REST API is incorrect in the 99Local.xml file.
  

Local fix

• In the 100Custom.xml file for IBM Process Center or IBM Process
  Server, use
  
  <properties>
    <server>
      <rest>
        <compatibility-ignore-exposed-to-for-human-service>
        true
        </compatibility-ignore-exposed-to-for-human-service>
      </rest>
    </server>
  </properties>
  
  to activate the configuration parameter if needed.
  

Problem summary

• The configuration flag in 99Local.xml is written in camel case
  as compatibilityIgnoreExposedToForHumanService instead of with
  hyphens as compatibility-ignore-exposed-to-for-human-service.
  As a result, setting the flag to true has no effect.
  

Problem conclusion

• A fix will be included in  IBM BPM V8.5.7 cumulative fix 2016.12
   that fixes the misrepresentation of the configuration flag in
  the 99Local.xml.
  
  To determine whether the cumulative fix is available and
  download it if it is, complete the following steps on Fix
  Central (http://www.ibm.com/support/fixcentral):
  
  1. On the Select product tab, select WebSphere as the product
  group, IBM Business Process Manager with your edition from the
  WebSphere options, All as the installed version, and All as the
  platform, and then click Continue.
  
  2. In the Text field, enter "cumulative fix?, and click
  Continue.
