Error description

• Cannot generate ABAP programs when connecting to SAP Netweaver
  7.5 SPS1
  When click on "Generate" the warning is "The statement "REPORT"
  is invalid. Check the spelling."
  

Local fix

• Ignore the warning and continue to upload the program to SAP.
  The program will run fine.

Problem conclusion

Temporary fix

• It was determined the Pack service function Z_RFC_DS_SERVICE*
  uses an incorrect parameter when calling the SAP function module
   editor_syntax_check
  In order to fix this, we would need to modify the function and
  re-generate the SAP transports delivered with the Pack. To be
  fixed in a future version.
  As SAP 7.5 is not one of the officially supported SAP versions,
  we are unable to fix this programmatically in the maintenance
  versions (7.0, 7.1, 8.0), but we will include this fix in the
  next fix pack for version 8.0
  
  In the meantime, the users can manually modify the service
  functions
  Pack version 7.0: Z_RFC_DS_SERVICE, Z_RFC_DS_SERVICE_CTS (for
  upload with CTS)
  Pack version 7.1: Z_RFC_DS_SERVICE_V7_1
  Pack version 8.0: Z_RFC_DS_SERVICE_V8_0
  
  Steps:
  1) Login into SAP system. Go to t-code SE37.
  2) Provide the RFC name and click on change button.
  3) In the source code find this line
  ITRDIR-UCCHECK = 'A'.
  and change it to
  ITRDIR-UCCHECK = 'X'.
  4) Save and activate the RFC.
