Error description

  • With  "MemberSubSystem/MergeCartsAtAuthentication/enabled"
configured to true, when the shopping cart threshold exceeds,
the guest cart is not cancelled, and the registered user ends up
 with two pending orders.

Shopping carts not merged during shopper log on when cart
threshold is exceeded

BUSINESS IMPACT:
Shoppers are confused by multiple pending carts.

RECOMMENDATION:

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • When "MemberSubSystem/MergeCartsAtAuthentication/enabled"
configured to true, let log on logic check the "shopping cart
threshold exceed" exception. If exception occurs, cancel the
guest shopping carts and return a warning code to storefront.
