Error description

  • When you create BAL services in IBM Business Process Manager
    (BPM) to write business rules by using the built-in JRules
    engine, you might notice that the service won't run and that
    there is an exception that the pool is full.

Local fix

Problem summary

  • The connection is not released and the default connection
    manager pool eventually becomes full.
    

Problem conclusion

  • A fix is available that closes the JRules session, which
    releases the connection, thereby preventing the pool from
    becoming full.
    
    On Fix Central (http://www.ibm.com/support/fixcentral), search
    for JR55051:
    
    1. Select IBM Business Process Manager with your edition from
    the product selector, the installed version to the fix pack
    level, and your platform, and then click Continue.
    2. Select APAR or SPR, enter JR55051, and click Continue.
    
    When you download fix packages, ensure that you also download
    the readme file for each fix. Review each readme file for
    additional installation instructions and information about the
    fix.
