APAR status

Error description

  • Tokens cannot be deleted due to no task id found.
    Delete/move token from flow line returns success but nothing is
    executed.
    
    Problem description: In some odd cases some process instances
    may contain active tokens sitting on an event but the task no
    longer exists.
    The token cannot be deleted due to 'Task id not found' error.
    
    Also when a token is sitting on a flow line, when attempting to
    move / delete the token via REST API, it will return 200
    success code. However, the token is not removed.

Problem conclusion

  • A fix is available on v8.5.0.1 such that orphaned tokens with
    missing tasks can be deleted forcefully if the following
    property is enabled in 100Custom.xml.

    On Fix Central (http://www.ibm.com/support/fixcentral), search
    for JR54971
    
    1.Select IBM Business Process Manager with your edition from the
    product selector, the installed version to the fix pack level,
    and your platform, and then click Continue.
    2.Select APAR or SPR, enter JR54971, and click Continue.
    3.
    When you download fix packages, ensure that you also download
    the readme file for each fix. Review each readme file for
    additional installation instructions and information about the
    fix.
