Error description

  • The Search Result page hangs and keeps loading due to double
    quotes (") in defining attribute values that are configured as
    facetable attributes.
    
    The browser console will throw a JavaScript error and it will
    show the screen loading symbol. The user is blocked from
    proceeding further.

    BUSINESS IMPACT:
    Facetable attributes with values that have double quotes are not
     allowed. For stores that use the french language or imperial
    measurements, this can be very difficult.
    
    RECOMMENDATION:
    

Problem conclusion

  • The solution is to escape double quotes in JSP files by using
    <c:out value="${}">
