APAR status

Error description

  • After clicking "Show/View All" in the facet sidebar and
    selecting a facet, upon refresh or using the resulting facet URL
     in a new browser window, the selection is not displayed.
    
    This issue occurs because the facet ID in the URL only gets
    loaded in the productListingView URL which is not called during
    an initial page load.

    BUSINESS IMPACT:
    Facets displayed incorrectly or go missing, and business users
    are unable to re-use generated URLs for marketing purposes
    
    RECOMMENDATION:
    

Problem conclusion

  • The solution is to append the corresponding facet group in the
    URL if a shopper selects any facets which are hidden by the
    "Show/View All" check box. The URL with any facet groups
    appended will automatically trigger the corresponding "Show/View
     All" function to display all the facets under its group.
    Finally, all of the selected facets will get selected after
    page-load.
