Error description

  • If you use the Category Navigation Widget in your store pages,
    the ability to sort category facets alphabetically or by set
    sequence in Management Center does not currently exist.

Problem conclusion

  • Summary of fix characteristics
    
    - Category display order is now consistent between top
    navigation menu and category facet during browsing
    - 3 options for display order
    -- 1) sort by facet entry count
    -- 2) sort by category name
    -- 3) sort by Management Center sequence
    - When showing search result of a keyword search operation,
    category facet entries can only be ordered and displayed by
    facet count (with highest at the top)
    - Category facet sequence order is a site level IT configuration
     and cannot be modified by business user
    - Special case when a category filter is applied on top of a
    keyword search result, then the resulting category facet display
     order will restore the same behavior as browsing
    
    Note:  another APAR JR54769 may be required when linked category
     cannot be shown properly in the category facet.
