APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• The timezone specification is not considered for due date
  calculations of activities when JavaScript expressions are used
  instead of default options provided by IBM Process Designer.
  

Local fix

• Perform the following actions:
  1. Click the js button to swicth from the JavaScript expression
    to specific timezones.
  2. Choose a specific timezone other than (use default).
  3. Click the js button again to switch back to the JavaScript
    expression.
  

Problem summary

• Originally, selecting ?(use default)? for the timezone of an
  activity used the default timezone from the configuration file
  (100Custom.xml) and ignored the timezone setting defined for the
  business process definition (BPD) that contained the activity.
  The enhancement to respect the BPD's timezone setting disabled
  the JavaScript expression if the  name of the timezone is not
  ?(use default)?.
  

Problem conclusion

• A fix is available for IBM BPM V8.5.0.1 that ensures  the
  JavaScript expression for the timezone of an activity is
  considered if the JavaScript expression is selected.
  
  On Fix Central (http://www.ibm.com/support/fixcentral), search
  for JR54234:
  
  1. Select IBM Business Process Manager with your edition from
    the product selector, the installed version to the fix pack
    level, and your platform, and then click Continue.
  
  2. Select APAR or SPR, enter JR54234, and click Continue.
  
  When you download fix packages, ensure that you also download
  the readme file for each fix. Review each readme file for
  additional installation instructions and information about the
  fix.
